Welcome to DC-ALT, a network for literary translators in the Washington, D.C., area. Our group is open to anyone with an interest in literary translation to/from any language.
Our mission is to foster a community of literary translators and to promote the art of literary translation in the greater Washington, DC, area.
Monthly Gatherings: We generally hold monthly face-to-face gatherings. Each meeting has a special focus, such as a presentation or discussion of a reading, followed by time for general discussion and socializing. All meetings are open to the public. Newsletter: Our e-mail newsletter allows members to share information of interest, such as local translation-related events and upcoming DC-ALT gatherings, and to propose ideas for group activities. Join us!
